Funding Secured!

Approach

Funding secured!!!

Barring natural (and unnatural) disaster, Zero ASIC has just secured funding for the next 5 years!

Today is a big day, especially considering that the last year was the worst year of my life (normalized for me). Eighteen months ago, Zero ASIC was profitable and grew to 18 people, all with revenue. We had put together one of the best agile chip design teams in the world pound for pound! Then out of nowhere, our primary customer stabbed us in the back and left us to die. I probably should have walked away, but instead I put in personal loans and painfully shrunk the team from 18 to 9 to avoid bankruptcy.

Thankfully Lockheed Martin and Ray Stata then stepped in with bridge investments to keep us going until now. I will be forever grateful to Peter Gadfort, Peter Grossmann, Beth Keser, Ph.D., and Aliasger Zaidy for the loyalty and grit showed in staying with the company through these hard times.

We are now ready to finish the mission we started in 2020: “to reduce the barrier to ASICs to zero”. After the holidays, we will have a bunch of job openings in:

  1. chiplet design (“efabric/ebrick”)
  2. digital twin emulation (“switchboard”)
  3. design automation (“siliconcompiler”)
  4. FPGA architectures
  5. analog design

If you are mission driven and have the talent to help us reinvent chip design, then send an email to [email protected].
